Tucker Mabry; Lead Vocals/ Guitar

I was all about sports until I was 12 years old. My dad had always played acoustic, but it never resonated with me (no pun intended). He always had an old Gibson L6s in the hall closest, but no amp. One day, he showed up from work with an old Fender Princeton Reverb amplifier. I’ll always remember walking in that room from school. He cranked it to 10, played the intro to Cat Scratch Fever. From that moment on, I was hooked.

By the age of 15, I was playing in a band, writing original music, and depending on who you asked; was pretty well respected as a lead guitar player in the Spartanburg Music Scene. I played in bands all throughout high school, college, and on into my late 20’s. I took a brief break from music around 30 to focus on family and career. Only playing the occasional solo show around town. It didn’t take me long to realize that I was only the best version of myself when I was playing music. So when I was approached to audition for as a lead singer for Dazed Renegade (preA49), I didn’t hesitate.

I have had the pleasure of playing with some world class musicians and great friends over the years, but the highest honor is playing and writing with Area 49. I am proud of what A49 has accomplished to date, and beyond excited for what the future holds.

Musical influences: 90s Grunge and Classic Rock.

I’m simple when it comes to gear. A Gibson Les Paul or a Fender Telecasters are my go to guitars. Other than that, my favorite gear is whatever is on sale.

I’m the proud father of three, husband, and basically Clark Griswold to my family. I’ve worked in financial services for the past 15 years, but making music my full time gig is the goal.
