Billy Joe Cook: Bass/backup vocals

I grew up around music. My grandpa was a well known musician in Florida. He performed with and was friends with Johnny Paycheck, Johnny Cash’s brother Tommy Cash, and Sheb Woolley among others. I got my first guitar when I was 8 years old, and started playing in church within a few months. At age 11, I began playing bass and soon after, drums. I have played guitar, bass and drums in church at different times since then.
I have played bass in a blues band called Always Monday, with Nashville recording artist Nikki Gardner, and various other bands as a session musician.

Some of my biggest musical influences on bass guitar are: John Paul Jones, Bruce Hall (REO Speedwagon), and Otto "Sugar Bear" Price (DC Talk).

My current rig is Ampeg PF 800 with 1x15 and 4x10 cabs, Ampeg RB 210 for smaller shows, modded 2004 Fender Jazz Bass with EMG JV52 Pickups, 2021 Fender Precision Bass, and customized 2005 Copley CEB-51.
My pedalboard is a Boss Chromatic Tuner,  Seymour Duncan Studio Bass compressor and MXR Thump Bass Preamp.
Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky strings.
